Once a year the Philharmonie de Luxembourg organizes a cultural evening with stars from the electronic music world. As one of the biggest technoide music events, it finds great resonance in the younger generation. The event takes place throughout the whole corridor and unveils the architecture of the outer support. These support poles are represented by the lines in the poster design.
To recreate the feel and atmosphere this party offers, it was clear that the architecture and lights must play a significant role in the design. Often you can only see half of the circles the lights emit as they are covered by the poles. The look should represent freedom and good vibes, like the musical evening feels for most of the attendants. People should feel welcomed to attend the party with curiosity and an open mind.
A solid contemporary design is shaped by the half-circles and the horizontal lines with their sundown’s representing the feel of watching 50 sunsets at once. Graffiti style elements like stars /flashes give the poster another meaningful layer. The typographic elements show an experimental but modern foundation to complete the basic poster. On top, a 3D Render of many different coloured layers of the posters is made to break the stiff alignment of the horizontal lines and the diatonic colour scheme.
